Demigods are a general name for a myriad of beings that have some godly power and followers but not enough to be even seen as local gods. Still, they are much more powerfull than normal mortals. Some of them used to be mortals. Others became demigods by being born children of gods. The total number of demigods is hard to estimate as most of them do not advertise the fact and/or have only very local and personal interests. Some of them do of course take part in greater struggles, be it for evil or good.
