Description
Zorim is called the City of Shadows. This is not only due to the forbiddingly dark buildings but it is also a quite literal reference to the shadows that inhabit the city. Zorim is a city of unlife and no living being lives within ten miles of the ruined city.
History
Zorim, once the capital of the Northern Empire was destroyed during the Unlife Wars by the armies of the lich Clagor. After the lich’s demise at the hands of Greyre, the city was controlled by one of his lieutenants, and skirmishes with contestants for the leadership damaged the city further. When the lich Kul-Thor arrived to claim command over the armies, he slew the lieutenant and took his army with him to add them to his own armies. Soon after other parts of Clagor’s army that Kul-Thor had left behind, moved into the city. Zorim is controlled by unlife until today, though who the leader is remains unknown.
