Askalon has always been a small out of the way kingdom in the utter north of Myaasia. It is of little consequence to the rest of the continent. It has been ably led by Lord Askalon for many years. Contact with the lands to the south or west is minimal and the inhabitants seem to like it that way.
During the Unlife Wars, Askalon was attacked by a small fraction of Clagor’s armies, trying to claim the place for themselves after the demise of the lich. Askalon repulsed that attack at great cost, and the people stoically proceeded to rebuilt that which was destroyed.
