Local Gods
Few of the gods have the personal energy to be truly global powers, yet within the boundaries of their locality any god can be formidable, so much that a greater god could conceivably be defeated by a much lesser god on its home soil. Thus gods have to be careful when dealing with other gods and usually use more subtle means.
The relationship of a god and the focus is like the locality is part of the god himself. The focus can be anything, a temple, an item, or an entire country. Any separation of this focus causes problems with them increasing by distance.
Local Gods as are local in the sense that their influence if limited to a certain geographical area near the “focus”, and is usually strongest at the centre. This “sphere of influence” varies from god to god, but is usually at least 100 miles in radius. Followers of local gods are much more likely to receive aid from their deity, but outside the deity's sphere the deity will have difficulty channelling power to the follower and the follower may have his spells reduced or, in extreme cases, removed totally. Local gods are usually more concerned with the doings of their followers than the Lords of Orhan.
Only a few local gods can stretch their influence to Cerea island as the thousand islands are quite distant form main events in Myaasian history. Only recently does there seem to be interest on the part of the powers to the area.
