Name | Professor Naillo |
---|---|
Place | Arcane Academy, ground floor |
Race | Elf |
Class | Wizard |
Alignment | ??? |
Age: Very old (he cannot remember)
Habits: Very easily distracted, calls everyone “young one”, or “young elf” etc, always talking about the books he is writing (he writes many!)
The professor is very absent-minded, but extremely knowledge-able. His own favourite topics are high-level arcane interactions.
He is constantly writing books. He is extremely organised (in his habits), he needs to be as he is very forgetful, but his mind is so crammed with information that he can easily be distracted.
He should be played as someone who will only give out information if pressed on it, and if players make the slightest side comment, there should be a very good chance that the professor will latch onto that subject instead of the one he was just speaking about. He should also be played as very forgetful, as you will notice from the membership quest. It is entirely possible that the professor will regularly forget what you asked him only a few moments ago.
Conversations with the professor should be frustrating, but eventually rewarding.
His field of expertise is, of course, magic. He has no knowledge of contemporary Cerea, his last memories are of 450 years ago, before the academy moved away, and he does not take a big interest in the world outside the academy.
He insists on calling everyone “young one”, not surprising given that the professor is one of the oldest people on the island, although his actual age is unknown, he cannot remember.
He is married to the lady in administration… although they do not advertise this fact, and players should not really be told this.
