Casting Spells

Basic spellcasting is a normally in nwn2 with the following notes.

Spell failures

Note that there is no Arcane spell failure for casting in armor, but all spellcasters can suffer from extraordinary spell failure if they cast spells in too heavy armor.

The base extraordinary probability comes from the armor type and is modified by the class of the caster and by the spellcraft skill of the caster. Also casting the spell stilled or silnt modifies.

A failied extraordinry spell failure roll often results in chaotic effect very much like ritual failures do.

ESF base for armors
