The largest of the moons,Orhan is also to only moon with an atmosphere, making it more a planet than a moon. The surface is perpetually shrouded in cloud, making observation of the surface impossible. The period of orbit is 28 days. The moon is so bright that it is visible in broad daylight (Although just barely) Orhan is reputedly the home of a group of gods, the Lords of Orhan.
The second largest moon, Varin is much smaller than Orhan; though small, it still has a discernible disk. It orbits in a period of seven days, giving rise to the Myaasian seven-day week. In appearance Varin is a strange, mottled orange, possibly as a result of volcanic activity
Small, featureless, silvery-gray moon. It orbits in a peculiar polar orbit, and is rarely in conjunction with Orhan. Little is known about it, but it is considered an evil presence by most myaasians, who believe that the orb is a haven of strange, otherworldly beings and presences. Astronomers believe that it is covered by a permanent layer of ice of unknown depth. Because of its anomalous orbit, Charon is invisible for more than half of its rotation, as it is between myaasia and the sun. As it comes around the planet, however, it rises slowly from the south, every night rising higher and becoming more full, until one night every 149 days Charon is full and at Zenith in a given location. The full moon occurs in different places at different times, of course, and the latitudes far from the equator are fortunately spared this event. It shines much more brightly, and with a reddish glow. There is no mistaking the Night of the Third Moon. Dark cults worship Charon, and they consider the Zenith to be a time of particular importance,a time when servants of the Unlife are able to leave their home on Charon and come to the Myaasia.
Tthe least visible of the myaasian moons. It can barely be made out as a gleaming mote in the night sky.
Actually a satellite of Orhan, rather than of myaasia. It is a tiny moon, and is only visible asa mote against the backdrop of Orhan on clear nights.
“Of Orhan, many Tales are spun, It is the home of the Gods, and cradles a wealth of lore.To look at it aglow, pearly silver in the velvet night,it is easy to talk of gossamer castlesand ethereal lords.”
“Of Charon, no one will speak”
