Techinology and Distant Past

The current tech level is quite low in most parts of the word: The leading civilisations can work hard metals manually, but only by master smiths.

Most of the more barbaric ones can only work copper and have to import any iron tools

The following groups have better technology:

The imrerial dwarves of the hidden lake have gunpowder and low steampower

The north empire has massive forges driven by water and elementals mostly allowing them to massproduce metal items on large scale, combined with the slavedriven mines and very ironrich terrain allows them to have a huge army equiped reasonably well. They have low grade gunpowder too.

Duranaki can do some excelent alloys and really effective tools and artwork based on them

No other known places can duplicate the given above currently.

History: Before time: Myaasia was one of the planets of a huge interstellar empire tht was destroyed. In the case of myaasia it was basically a civil war with severa factions. A really few artifacts from that time have survived (see teleport systems) The war caused total dieoff of population… raise of magic, by opening the portals that allow essence to strem here and so on… (that will be another post)

The first era had some technology leftover from before.. but it got less and less and most f the laast pieces were lost in the wars at end of that era. But the elves and uruk-hai had mostly magic based empires.. they could only work upto iron.. except some very rare magic smiths.

The second era had a general aversin to technology.. using direct spells and such for most things, so not many magic artifacts were manufactured.

The thirds era with several groups researching technical methods of doing things, technology in those places is higher than anywhere after the crash.
