The base monetary unit is one copper piece. A Copper piece is approximately the lowest possible daily wage anyone can get. 

A normal laborer will likely get few coppers a day. 

The higher units of money are:\\
Bronze piece that equals 10 Copper. \\
Silver that equals 10 Bronze. \\
Gold that equals 10 Silver \\
Platinum that equals 10 Gold \\
Mithril that equals 10 Platinum.
