In entry area “home”

1 Your have a long list of tasks given to you to complete. The idea with these tasks is to introduce you to the village of Vesper, some of it's inhabitants and how certain special systems and things work. \n The first item on the list is to get away from home and goto village center.

On entering

2 You have arrived at Vesper village square. Many of the directions in this tasklist guide you from here, so being able to find your way back to this place is needed. \n Also the mapnotes on your map should help you in finding your way. \n The first task you have on your list is to go to Vesper inn and talk to the cook in the kitchen. \n The inn is the big building just northeast of the village square.

On entering the inn:

3 You have found the inn, now you need to find the cook and ask her what help she needs. \n She is likely in the kichen.

coming to the kitchen.

4 You have found the kitchen, talk to the cook and offer to help her.

on talk to cook:

5 You have accepted your first quest from an NPC, you should now do that quest as directd by the cook.

on closing in on bees:

6 You are approaching the bees. Some of them may be angry, so you may want to be prepared for combat. \n Note that bees are small creatures so targeting them may be hard. Using Tab to target might be easier.

on open the beehive:

7 There is some honey inside that you should pick up. \n Many quests have some items you need to pick up and take to the quest giver. \n You have likely had to fight against the bees. \n You should have noticed a message stating that some xp was gained and that it was your first killed bee. \n But you will notice that there is no XP on your character sheet. \n The XP is stored until you fullfill the requirements to level up to next level. \n The requirements are explained later in this tutorial.

on return to inn 8 You should give the honey to the cook.

on having given the honey: 9 you should have seen seen a message saying you have gained some experience. \n Allmost all quests give you some experience when you complete them. \n You should alo have gotten a message saying that you gained some reputation. \n Reputation is a very important concept. \n You get reputation by helping people, by exploring things and by time spent and things killed. \n You will need reputation points to go up levels, to join and advance in guilds and many more things.\n There is a journal completed entry with more details on reputation. \n Next you should talk to the cook again and accept the mission she offers.

on talking to the cook again: 10 When talking to some of the NPCs after you have completed a quest for them, they may offer you new options. \n Those new options are often further quests or some other special things. \n Note also that you can normally only do each quest once each character. \n Next you should go to the forest and hunt the rabbits.

on killed a rabbit: 11 you have now killed a rabbit. \n Again you should have gotten a message about it being the first rabbit kill you did and a message about gaining some experience. \n The more you kill of the same things the less experience you get for each. \n The first of anything you kill is five times the base experince, and then goes down so that after twenty of the same you only get half the base experience and after fifty you get no more experience. \n Thus to keep getting experience you should find new places and fight new things.

on success of quest: 12 you have again gained some experience and another reputation point. Further you got one copper piece as reward. \n If you look in your inventory you should see money pouch. \n It lists how much money you have. \n The base monetary unit is one copper piece. a Copper piece is approximately the lowest possible daily wage anyone can get. \n A normal laborer will likely get few coppers a day. \n The higher units of money are Bronze piece that equals 10 copper, silver that equals 10 bronze, gold that equals 10 silver, platinum that equals 10 gold and mithril that equals 10 platinum. \n Next is time to do shopping. \ You should go to the general store southwest of the inn.

On entering the store: 13 Stores work by having shop trunks and shelves that contain the items for sale. \n When you pick one up it tells you the price. \n You can freely try on the items and such, but cannot leave the store until you have either put them back or bought them. \n You should go to the clothing rack and try on different clothes. \n When you have found one that you like, you should go to the shopkeeper and buy it.

on bought: 14 you have now bought your first item. \n If you look at the moneypouch again, you should notice that you lost some money. \n Next you should sell something. \n The honeycake that you got from the cook as first reward is a good candidate. \n To sell things you need to place them in the appraisal desk of the store and talk to the shopkeeper. \n

on sold: 15 Now you have successfully sold the item to the general store and gained some Money. \n the next step is joing a guild. \n The adventurers guild is a very good organisation for all adventurers, as it maintains a list of quests for people to do. \n Not all quests are listed there, so you should still talk to many people. \n The guild is located just north of the Lake. \n you should go outside and then follow the roads and paths southeast to the lake. \n

on near guild 16 You are at the village common building. It contains a lot of things including the adventurer guild, the offices, the common rooms and the village watch headquarters.

on enter guild building 17 You enter the hall, the adventurer guild and the village guard are in the cellar. \n so you should make your way down the stairs. \n

on at guild 18 You are at the guild, you should talk to the adventurer guild clerk and follow his instructions
